It is impossible to sum up who Rob Myslik was on a webpage, or any page for that matter.  If words could resurrect his spirit how much happier we would all be...   The teacher in him would ask us to find words to capture what is in our hearts and minds, but the heart in him might say that some things of beauty are simply ineffable.

Rob wore many hats.  He was a husband, a son, a brother, a teacher, a coach, a friend, a mentor, an instigator, a sports junkie, an insatiable reader,  a film buff, an accomplished arguer, a music lover, a world traveler, and a terrible bowler (it's true!), and though he was wasn't given enough time to meet his daughter, a father.  His enthusiasm for life was incredibly contagious and the years he spent in the classroom, with family and friends, and on the fields were devoted to spreading that love.   He was also a very private man, and often needed the quiet time of a long run or time with his dogs and a book to rest and regroup, and think deeply about life.

These marathons and relay runs are a dedication to all of Rob - may his passion and example help to propel our confidence and enthusiasm and energy when we need it most, but also let us remember his quiet need for reflection when we are out on the road alone, training and thinking.
